Political parties in Nigeria have no ideologies, no manifesto, you should not be able to just get up and change political parties, political parties should be like religion until you no longer believe in that religion or you now believe another one more should you be able to switch.

You can't just leave the far right and join the far left because being a president under afar right party means some things are guaranteed it will definitely be different from being president under a far left party, policies, laws, public perception etc.

In Nigeria political parties are a group of old men jostling for power to share money that's why it doesn't feel different no matter who is in office, that's why no difference is made, instead things continue to get worse.

That's why you can cross carpet whenever and how ever.
Think about it, if PDP stood for resource control and APC stood for centralisation of some or all resources.
And let us assume ALL SOUTH SOUTH voters were pro resource control which right thinking SOUTH SOUTH governor will switch to APC that will be political suicide.

1. Your votes don't count or maybe
2. The parties have ABSOLUTELY no ideologies or

One ruled for 16 years without building any infrastructure irrespective of the amount they were selling our crude oil then, they were still borrowing to pay salaries. Even as that, they handed the country over to the other one in 2015 when 27 states could not pay salaries. They were also notorious for promising and commissioning the 2nd Niger Bridge on paper for the whole 16 years.

While the other inherited a terrible economy about 6 years ago and started reversing those bad trends. They assisted the states to clear the salary arrears. As at today, they are about completing the 2nd Niger Bridge, they have already completed Enugu international airport, not to mention numerous other infrastructure they are building around the country including the rail lines and stations.

If it's a South East PDP Governor(s), I have been trying to reconcile all the toxic disparaging comments most folks from the SE made about their PDP Governors here in terms of delivery of governance with the prospect of them jumping ship to APC. I think they may be overating themselves politically.

There's nothing they can do to impress anyone. If they join APC today, they will be crucified and if they remain in PDP, they lack the number to win the PDP ticket. It's really a difficult place to be politically.

The lesson is that most of these SE PDP Governors should take governance more seriously and people should stop dragging their political leaders anytime they hold a different view. If you call your leaders bad and horrible names, especially because of bigotry and hatred, others outside SE will not respect them. It's sad but I see PDP calling their bluff. As things stand, for PDP, it's either the ticket goes North or ready to lose the election even before it starts. The PDP prospective candidates from the North seem stronger although I may be proven wrong.
