All is now set for the grand finale of Rochas@59 birthday celebrations slated for 30th September 2021 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The event with its theme ” Peaceful Coexistence through Education ” will be attended by the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Abubakar Atiku, State Governors, Members of the National Assembly, Ministers, Ambassadors, Traditional Rulers, the clergy, Captains of Industry, etc.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the organisers remarked that Senator Rochas Okorocha’s 59th birthday celebration was dedicated to bringing to the front burner the issue of peaceful coexistence in the nation while addressing the rising tide of out of school children which has a great bearing on insecurity. They believed that such an eminent gathering will bring to the fore solutions and dramatize the urgency to address the issues. Good will messages are also expected from the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Bio and former President of Liberia, Sirleaf Johnson.

It would be recalled that Africa’s foremost philanthropist and former Governor of Imo State turned 59 on September 22nd, 2021. His birthday celebrations were kickstarted by a media chat with journalists in Abuja followed with an award of ICON of Service and Philanthropy by the Abuja NUJ council. He was also honoured by the Christian Association of Nigeria at its 45th Anniversary Celebrations on Saturday 25th September 2021 for his epoch making role in mobilizing men and resources in the building of the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja; this is in addition to other numerous awards, gifts and commendations he has received during this birthday celebration from groups and individuals across the world he has touched their lives through his education philanthropy and humanitarian services via the Rochas Foundation.
