That guy is not a team player, once he gets close or into the box, his first instinct is to take a shot, not dribble or pass the ball to a waiting teammate. Most of his shots couldn't even get past the defenders, they just kept getting blocked.

How can a reasonable person compare such a player with Lionel Messi? I'm not a Ronaldo hater, I like the fact that he scores goals but I'm a fan of good football with high-level technicality. This is why I rate Messi so much higher than him, even Eden Hazard.

Give me prime Ronaldo and prime Hazard, I'd take the latter without thinking too hard.
