Buhari Orders Twitter Ban To Be Lifted Says These Conditions Must Be Met, the78 years old president of Nigeria Gen Muhammad Buhari has said that for Twitter to be reopened certain conditions must be fulfilled and met .

In his 61th’s independence Day, October 1,1960 speech president Buhari said the use of Twitter in Nigeria must be for business modeling, positive and promotion of national unity in the country .

the government’s dialogue with Twitter revolved around national security, physical representation, fair taxation, dispute resolution, and local content.

Recalled that the ban of Twitter app usage in Nigeria by federal government on June was due to the tweet made by President Buhari which violates the Twitter App rules and regulations of usage.

The Federal Government had controversially banned Twitter in June, accusing it of endorsing activities that are destabilising Nigeria.

Many critics, including Femi Fanana lawyer also speaks about government plan to gag media as well as foreign countries, saw the suspension as a breach of Nigerians’ constitutional rights.
