*Hard skills - sometimes called technical skills are essential skill set needed to do a job successfully and as a result are job-specific, because they are quantifiable and are often learnt through formal courses and training. Proficiency is key in this area which shows the employer that you have the abilities required to execute the job being applied for. Examples are: STEM skills, microsoft office skills, analytics skills, language proficiency, design tools skills. etc
