GOODWILL MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF 2021 WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

As we celebrate the 2021 World Teachers’ Day, the Management and Staff of the Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board(CR-SUBEB) reflect on the significant role teachers’ play in the development of any society.

We are reminded of your labour of love, your steadfastness and determination in ensuring that our children become exceptional adults, successful in career and life.

This year’s theme: “Teachers at the heart of education recovery” recognizes your tireless efforts even during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. Your dedication to duty has been tested in the last year and you have risen tall to the occasion. As a Board we celebrate your doggedness.

Today, we are also reminded of our commitment and duty to you, to ensure that all that you deserve is accorded to you.

This is why the Governor Ben Ayade led administration has been at the forefront of teachers’ development through training and re-training, payment of salaries, conducive environment for teaching and learning, amongst others. We are aware that there is more to be done and we are totally committed to this cause, so that your reward as teachers’ begins here on earth and the teaching profession can take its pride in place.

Once again, we urge you all to take pride in your profession, remain committed to your responsibilities and to always put in your best at all times, for without you and your efforts society will not flourish.

Happy World Teachers’ Day to all our remarkable teachers!

Mr. Victor Omaga Odo (JP)
Executive Chairman, CR-SUBEB
