I just keep wondering if there is any church of Christ today, without the doctrines/tradition of men,especially in our African/Nigeria churches home and abroad.
Take my church for example,women's week. all the women asked to buy same type of cloth.LIKE-ORIGIN- our Nigeria social clubs. what hapens to some which cannot afford? but none is oblige you might say,but just think if you were on able skip church service on D day?
2:Giving prizes to the best giver(a group separated from the congregation to run the finance of the church,giving them recognition over those who cannot give much in so doing they are obliged(pressurised) as a member to give.
3: freely you have received freely you shall give,you pay your tithe and offerings yet you still have to buy your sundays/special service or conference DVD.YOU SAY but it costs money to produce them, same way is  being ordered on-line it can be equally be downloaded free. Sometimes I hear-WITH A GIFT OFFERING-WE SEND YOU THESE MATERIALS.
4: Pastor,siting on the altar while his congregations come-forth to present him their BIRTH-DAY GIFTS. the list goes on and on.

Is your church free from men's doctrines/traditions?  Please, be sincere.

My dear fellow human being, the CHURCH itself is an icon of men's doctrines/tradition. So to think that you can find a church devoid of men's doctrines or traditions is a complete folly, for both of them are intrinsically tied together.

It depends on what you mean by church.

There is the church ( bride of Christ ) which consists of ALL true believers worldwide from every tongue and tribe.

Then there is the man made church institution , physical in nature , formed on strict doctrines many of which may be wrong or half-true.

The true church of GOD which is invisible ( spiritual ) would normally have local fellowships where true Christians meet for worship, edification, sharing, prayer etc etc.

True believers should study God's word and they will have no problem, find like minded Christians and meet in a house , office, anywhere safe and secure.

you are quite right. of-course you know am not talking about the spiritual body of Christ as a church cos is perfect. l mean the physical-gathering where worshiping takes place.

After been blessed by hearing the sermon of last(church) service,pastor went ahead and announced ''THE GENERAL OVERSEER`S(PRESIDENT) OF THE CHURCH IS APPROACHING SO WE SHOULD BE PREPARING TO GIVE ,DOING THIS A PIECE OF PAPER WOULD BE GIVEN SO MAKE YOUR PLEDGE,NORMALLY WE GIVE(, AMOUNT).

Thank God I was not saved by theses so called 'MOG' so I Take the truth do away with the man made.
