This idiot will face the same fate of Joe Igbokwe. The time of selling your people just to pick crumbs from the foot of the table is over in Igboland. We are facing an existential threat as a people, therefore there is no time and place for an enemy within. |

Nigeria problem is our values. Our elites portray what we cherish as a people, what many of us look forward and wish to be. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigeria’s corruption respects diversity and federal character. Resources and public goods may not be equitably distributed among all Nigerians, and even political offices could be sectionalised, but on corruption, there is always a geographical balance. Yes, there is always a perfect ethnic representation at the table of loot. Nigeria simply suffers from poor and weak governmental SYSTEMS to check and Enforce the law, cos no region, tribe or religion is a saint. All criminals and brothers in corruption. |

The elites are stealing away the national wealth while the masses are here fighting themselves on their behalf. The masses will never get sense! |

The Nigerian elite came from the Nigerian people. Nigeria has failed to create a national character because Nigerians don't believe in Nigeria.....And why should they? There was a Sokoto Sultanate, Benin and Oyo Empire before Nigeria ever existed. Nigeria will fail because it was artificially created by the European for imperialist intentions and today is services from the wealth of oil, when that runs Nigeria time will run out. Really, Nigeria’s problem is an elite problem -- conscienceless people who stack up wealth in foreign countries while the country they represent is cannibalised. To this class, Nigeria is only fit for milking, but for healthcare they go abroad; for education for their children, they go abroad, and for other basics, they jet out. 1 Like |

tete7000:Precisely. Nigerian politicians are heartless thieves because the average Nigerian is the same way. We need to stop pretending to be shocked by kleptomania in our politicians when we the masses who elect them celebrate ostentatious displays of wealth of dubious provenance. Just look at how many Nairalanders were gushing admiringly over Hushpuppi's "big boy" posturing on Instagram, and how many continue to do the same for Obi Cubana. Nigerians only care about corruption in the abstract, or at best when perpetrated by someone from a party or tribe other than one's own: when the thief is a fellow party-member or a "kinsman", manifest evidence of corruption is breezed aside as mere proof of supposed business acumen. If aspirants to office are feted and lionised for stealing by the very people who constitute their victims, why on earth shouldn't they steal as much as humanly possible, even if they can't spend it all over several lifetimes? 1 Like |
