Popular lawmaker and businessman, Shina Peller has debunked reports that he spoke against the 2023 presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The lawmaker in a statement on Sunday said he was quoted out of context by some platforms saying he is against the presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader.
Peller, who represents Iseyin/Itesiwaju/ Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives submitted that he only demanded a fair and just process in choosing the candidate of the party.

He added that Tinubu remains a political father to him and they enjoy a good relationship, hence he has no reason to speak against the APC leader’s presidential ambition.

“My attention has been drawn to the news on blogs quoting me to have said that the APC Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should not be anointed as next president. Sadly, it is a misrepresentation of what I said. To set the record straight, I have nothing against our leader or his presidential ambition. I have enjoyed a father and son relationship with him for years, and it remains so,”Peller stated.

He added that,“I commented on the age-long political style of forcing candidates down the throats of the citizens, without thinking of the principles of equity, equality, and fairness.

“I stated that the rest of the world is leaving Nigeria behind in terms of rapid growth and development and only through strong institutions, can we collectively make just decisions for visible progress in the country, especially in our electioneering process.

“The next general election is a reset period for our dear country. We must get it right! Our collective decision must be based on promoting peace and unity.”

Meanwhile, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that only God gives and takes life.

This Shina Peller is a N1tw1t. He has ended up saying absolutely nothing trying to appear intelligent.

He knows what needs to be done and how him and his fellow Reps are lettijg Nigeria down. He should just enjoy his pay amd privileges and stop any sanctimonious attempt to play to the gallery with Nigerians.
