6 good years down the toilet...

All you guys ever talk about is how to borrow and borrow with the economy consistently crashing, inflation flying at an all time high, investments disappearing...

Fellow Nigerians, especially those of you already campaigning for certain individuals towards 2023... Are you sure there will still be anything left to salvage economically come 2023?!!

What debt profile will the new president inherit from Buhari?!! How will he take off from there?!!

These are the questions I expect you all to be posing to those intent on becoming president... If Buhari had been thoroughly taken to task about these issues before making him president in 2015, his cluelessness might have shown up. Maybe we could have averted this disaster (I doubt this tho)!

They are not ready to make the economy grow... Actually cutting costs (first major step) would mean less looting for them.

They will never stand for that... Nigerian leaders don't want the nation to grow!!!

Even if every Kobo of Nigeria's debt is written off today, it will take these bastards less than 2 tenures to plunge her back into a worse debt! I kid you not!!!

The way forward is for the creditors to come down hard on this nation... If possible, refrain from granting further loans.

These bastards need to be compelled to sit up!!!

if you can't scrap legislature, at least change Nigeria to unicameral legislature. these Bicameral was a means of enriching some individuals that's why an Islamic ond graduate from North will be buying hotel in Dubai, someone that suppose to be teaching in islamiyya school

The economy needs to collapse fast. This is the only way forward. Until the whole economy and govt is totally destroyed, good people will not be allowed. When the bad people have totally destroyed it, and they know there is nothing to gain again, they will leave the scene for good ones to correct everything. And they will be waiting for things to boom so they can come in again and destroy it. But then, good people needs to set s very high standard so that bad people cannot come in again.

So, I pray everything gets destroyed.

These HoR members are hypocrites. They are one of Nigeria's major problems. If they want the president to stop borrowing money to fund the budget, they should unanimously approach the agency that sets public officer holders' salaries and ask that their salaries and allowances be slashed.

That's the first step. This country is a joke because nobody really likes it; everyone is looking for ways of cashing out, including the so-called old president. This is not how serious countries built theirs.

Only in this country you borrow money to service debt

That is what you get when a nation is unfortunate to have perhaps the worst Executive ever superintended by certainly the worst Legislature ever. Mediocrity in leadership cannot be hidden. It shows, clear to the blind and audible to the deaf. The results of the 2015 misadventure will be clear to all.... to all. That indeed, elections have consequences.

And for those who rooted for this unfortunate 8th National Assembly, chasing out the Saraki regime, I hope you have all been adequately rewarded with recession and the whole scale depreciation and destruction of your assets and businesses.
At least the Saraki regime will have fought, delayed, denied a lot of these mindless, financially reckless borrowings that have corroded the economy.

The battles which will have been fought will have resulted in deep introspection and perhaps led to alternative ideas towards our financial survival.

Pity. We will understand how democracy works by the force of suffering. This is a certainty. Sentiment is on its last legs.
