The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has set aside N100bn for constituency projects of National Assembly members in the latest budget proposal. If you are wondering why the current National Assembly could not live up to its statutory role of providing checks and balance to actions and inaction's of the executive, here you have it. The worst in the history of the country, not only docile but ineffective and mere rubber-stamps 5 Likes |

Nigeria needs to cut the cost of governance, and systematically stop loots and wastages. What is the essence of constituency projects when we have the federal ministry of works? The Obasanjo administration started it and it was never enshrined in the constitution. This is what Buhari and Osinbajo should have courageously stopped. Instead, Osinbajo is forming a financial advisor to the CBN - an area the constitution didn't give them the right to meddle in. 1 Like |

treesun:What are the duties of pacac? Why is itse sagay still sitting as a chairman of a commission that is ghostly ineffective? The NASS will always blackmail any corrupt officials, once u present skeletons and padded budget to them, they will inturn make u pay for it. Master itse sagay, u have faiked in your duties and should have long ago step aside for competent and patriotic person to man that post. U r after ur pocket so u don't have any right to blackmail the lawbreakers. 1 Like |

“For example, money that is meant for medical equipment was diverted to the house of a legislator. Same for some farm machines in an attempt to either covert the money or misuse it. So, now that the ICPC is on their trail, they will find it difficult to engage in this adventure of trying to involve themselves in executive duty of awarding contracts and construction of infrastructure.”There was a country!!! 2 Likes 3 Shares |

Sagay wants to be both the ruling and opposition at the same time just to appear gud in the eyes of the masses. How come he is condemning NASS budget and not the ASO ROCK house rent that is also captured in the budget He should know that this is beyond Law of Tort. Buhari can do anything that will favour, if NASS didn't get such lobost budget how does he expect them to approve his numerous next year borrowing. Only God knows the amount of dollars Buhari will borrow next year this one he is stylishly bribing National Assembly in Advance. What Buhari cannot destroy doesn't exist 1 Like |
