Scripture Texts: Romans 12:1-2; Mark 4:24-25

The prerequisite to knowing God's Will is to submit our will to God. Jesus Christ our Lord submitted His will to the Father( Luke 22: 42; John 6:38).
Being submissive to the will of the Father is when we seek and trust Him, when we desire to do His will alone and when we do everything in our might to obey Him (John 4:34; Ephesians 6:6). By this, God will reveal His Will to us because He now trust us that we will obediently follow it.

God reveals His Will to His obedient children through many ways:
1. The Holy Spirit, who guides us to find God's Will (John 16:13-14)
2. The Word of God. That is God can reveal His Will to us by searching deep into the Scriptures and obeying the Word (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 2:18). While reading and studying the Word, a verse may speak specifically directly to you or the current situation you are facing. But you must be careful not to interpret it as you please and that is why it's important to pray and ask God to help you understand. You can also seek the help of matured Christians to explain difficult passages to you.
3. Dreams: Sometimes, God reveals His Will to us through dreams. Revelatory dreams can show us what the will of God is for us as He did for Abraham (Gen 15: 12-16), Abimelech (Gen 20: 2-7), Jacob (Gen 28:10-16, 31:10-13), Laban (Gen 31:22-24), Joseph (Gen 37:5-9, 40:1-13, 16-22), Pharao ( Gen 41:17-32), Israel ( Gen 46:1-4), Gideon(Judges 7:9-15), Solomon (1Kings 3:5-15), Eliphaz ( Job 4:12-21), Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2:1,28-29,31-45), Daniel(Daniel 2:16-19, 7:1-28), Joseph (Mathew 1: 20-21, 2:13,19-22), The three wise men ( Mathew 2:12), Pilate's wife (Mathew 27:19). However, we have to take caution by praying to God about every dream we have.
4. Vision: God reveals Himself to us sometimes through visions. A vision is when God flashes a picture in our mind's eye or falling into trance with eyes open(Numbers 24:4). Some Biblical examples God gave His will through visions were Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:1-4;8:1-2;10:4-7), Zechariah (Zechariah 1:7-, Zachariah ( Luke 1:11-13,22), Paul(Acts 9-1-7,12; 16:9; 26:13-19; 18:9-10), Ananias ( Acts 9:10-12), Cornelius (Acts 10:1-6), Peter(Acts 10:9-16).
5. Prophecy and Revelations: God speaks His will through us or through our hearts when we prophesy. God may prophesy through us to ourselves or to one another. Biblical examples were Elijah ( 1 Kings9:12), prophets ( Acts 13:1-2). However, we are to beware of false prophets and try to test to know those who are truly from God.
