Finally, Nigerian delegation arrived in DXB after the series of failed face-saving measures adopted by the FG to save Nigeria from the embarrassments in the face of the world, by claiming that the conspicuous absence of Pantami at GITEX 2021 was as a result of the UAE's travel ban brouhaha with Nigeria. But what may have looked like rumours are gradually becoming a reality.

Earlier in the week, the federal government claimed that the ongoing Travel Ban had affected Isa Pantami, preventing him from participating in the ongoing GITEX 2021 whereas, some notable Nigerian Startups have shown up from day one, even granted interviews to Channels TV at the venue. These same guys boarded flights from Nigeria to DXB to attend the event.

Today being day 4 of the 5-day event, Our Hourable Minister has failed to show up among the delegation from Nigeria. In my opinion, the no-fly ban on him may have been the cause, because of Pantami's stance on alquaeda and Isis. This is issue is going to leave a dent on Nigerian image for many years to come. Sad!
