- “Oh God, give victory to the Taliban and to al-Qaeda"
- “jihad is an obligation for every single believer, especially in Nigeria."

Also speaking after the death of the notorious Al-Qaeda leader, Isa Pantami said,
“May God have mercy on Ahmad Fadeel al-Khalayleh "

I'm not here to defend NA, but The Economist's editorials are part of a broader propaganda front in recent weeks attacking the Nigerian security agencies. Anotger example was the WSJ report about Dshks being bought back by FGN bc of fears that they may be used in an anti-aircraft role (good luck with that).
So what does the Economist say about Afghanistan ?
The combined strength of NATO (20+ countries) lost- to Afghan farmers.
Think about that

My comparison is very valid. Did the US army defeat the Taliban or not? Why is not defeating boko haram an geace crime? You yourself, can you pick up a gun and fight boko haram?

You don't expect the US to deploy all their military might to aghasnistan besides most Afghanistan are in support of the Taliban... So the two scenarios should not be compared like for like... We are doomed in this country... Imagine if Taliban or any Muslim sect was to be situated in the USA... You know the answer.

Such poor analogy... US fought Taliban far away from American soil. Mention any war or insurgency going on in American soil...

Nigerian Army on the other hand has been flailing about embarrassingly with a ragtag terrorist group in a single part of the whole nation for over a decade... That's shameful.

If you wish to descend to the low level of "Whataboutism", at least use a more comparable instance.

The economist must not place themselves as an enemy of the Nigerian army, they are not useless.

Nigerian army must take it up with the federal government and ban economists magazine, they are working with enemies of Nigeria, including those within, ipob, terrorists in the North etc.

BREAKING: We are not Useless – Nigerian Army replies UK paper

The Nigerian Army has said that it is a globally respected agency. This is in response to an Editorial by The Economist of the United Kingdom (UK) on Saturday where the Muhammadu Buhari administration was described as incompetent, and criticised for being ‘unable to curb corruption’. The piece was titled ‘The Crime Scene at the Heart of Africa’.

The publication also accused the Nigerian Army of selling weapons to insurgents, just as it pointed out that ‘insurgency, secessionism and banditry threaten Nigeria’.

But Nigerian authorities are thoroughly displeased with the report, and have fired back.

In a statement on Saturday by Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Nigerian Army Spokesperson, the agency said it is “certainly not what the so-called report by the Economist tried to characterize it”.

Nigeria Air force are the real Boko Haram .

What's the total number of all those Miscreants compared to our security officers.

Instead of Army and Air force to work in collaboration together, while the Air force drop bomb on the miscreants in their hiding place, the ground troop would be patiently waiting to finish those trying to escape.

But what have we been reading, Air force mistook army for Boko Haram , almost 5 times this year alone

Airforce mistook Army for boko haram!
Please don’t say that again, that must be a kind of hilarious joke...

The NA is currently living in glory of yester years.

They have allowed Polithieftians and Politics to strip them naked in the eyes of Nigerians and the entire world.

Hope this will spur them to go back and realign with what the military truly represents and stands for.
