Governor Oyo Seyi Mackinde has ordered the installation of surveillance cameras (CCTV) in all the correctional facilities in the state.

Gov. Makinde gave the order on Sunday while visiting the Abolongo Correctional Center in Oyo, which was attacked by unidentified gunmen on Friday night and hundreds of prisoners escaped.



Nearly 1,000 prisoners were released in the raid, but a prison official said 262 people had been recaptured. Read more below;
