BREAKING: Signing Of Niger Delta Charter On Resource Control, Self-determination by Redcrafton: 10:13am On Oct 26, 2021
The Niger Delta Congress (NDC) is forging ahead with its demand for self-determination and insistence that oil and other natural resources be controlled by the people.

The NDC has confirmed that the signing of the Niger Delta Peoples Charter will start on Monday November 1, 2021.

Ovunda Eni, the spokesman, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.

The coalition of regional bodies put the all the ethnic nationalities of the six states in the South-South on notice.

Eni recalled the conference held on October 8 at the Ijaw House Complex in Yenegoa, the Bayelsa capital.

He explained that the draft copy of the Niger Delta Peoples Charter was unanimously adopted as a working document.

The NDC has now concluded the harmonisation process of all recommendations forwarded to the secretariat.

“It is our firm belief that this Charter will lay the foundation for the processes that will birth a new future”, Eni noted.

The NDC said the aim was to unite the people “towards achieving shared hopes and aspirations of resource control and self-determination”.

The body charged the people not to be fazed by insecurity and other challenges in Nigeria.

The statement told them to anticipate the arrival of the Charter in their communities and actively take part in the mass signing.

How can the nation develop when its being turn apart from the middle by many forces?

The north claim they have huge land, huge natural resources, high educated elites (have more professors than south Africa) and military, yet they are the ones that would not agree for communities to own their resources, like their own communities own the gold in Zamfara...and run their region like they have sharia government.

Renegotiating the affairs of the central government would resolve these issues.

Ijaws were unjustly Balkanized into Ondo Edo Delta Bayelsa Rivers and Akwa-Ibom state.
When all Ijaws are together and they share perfect boundaries with each other just to share Ijaw oil and weaken Ijaw unity.
Ijaw produces over 90 percent of all Nigeria crude oil.

May the thunder and lightning that will accompany the next rainy season fire that your mouth used in swallowing Kokoyam porridge with Ogbonno soup.
Your only abode is the 3 local government areas of Bayelsa and nothing you or your drunkard General Ditari can do about it.
When the time comes, General Ditari would lead the Ijaws out of Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Ondo and rivers states out to the promise land in the 3 local govt areas of Bayelsa just like the biblical Exodus.

Benin Kingdom (Edo people)
Biafra (Igbo people)

Ibibio people
Isoko people

What is it, even if you're the Nigerian government can you handle those nations at once? Grow up jare and know that your useless map is dead on arrival.

Niger Delta charter or ijaw charter?

They even took it ijaw house in Bayelsa grin grin

These ogogoro drinking fishermen really thinks that other minorities are fools. These guys keep behaving as if Niger Delta is their personal property.

You can organize your ijaw charter in peace but trying to drag others into it to play second fiddle role is arrant nonsense.

Stop dragging other ethnicities without negotiating with them as equal partners, that's the same way fulanis subdued North and it won't happen in niger Delta.

Arrant nonsense!!!
