EXPOSED: Northern farmers, residents paying hugely to bandits tax fee revealed

A report has revealed that residents in the North are paying hugely before having access to their businesses in the region.

According to news by Daily Trust, particularly farmers in the Eastern part of Sokoto State said to remit levies to bandits operating in various communities.

Account from dweller of the area noted locales are barred to farm or have access to their farmlands until levies are settled.

This is well known news. In fact this is the reason why the threat of Hausa farmers boycotting the South West after they were beaten senseless in Shasha, Ibadan did not work.

They knew that after paying levies to bandits, they will still need to sell their agricultural products or starve to death, and that is why their so called "strike" did not last longer than a week
