Cows have for long been a source of meat to nigerians in south west, south south and north and is used only for parties in the south east in stingy amount. With the average cow capable of feeding 200 people in the east for a month, the economic value of the cow has certainly increased by 1000%
The buhari administration with the help of senators and house of representatives passed a law that gives a cow a right to life, right to own any property in the country and freedom of movement and killing of a cow without the permission of the government attracts severe punishment by the law.

Reacting to this Yusuf a funali herdsman who takes care of cows in the deep bushes spoke with us today when he said' before we were only limited to the villages and the bushes which was very scary and dangerous. Thanks to our brother buhari and now we can walk on the street without any fear of harassment or anyone shouting at us and if they try to stop us, we'll deal with them.

When asked about amotekun and other states that have banned open grazing law, Yusuf looked flustered and then in difficulty said" we trust our brother buhari, he'll work something out for us"
