Learn the vote results anytime, anywhere

From Monday evening South Africans and many other people on the African continent will have their eyes fixed onto three famous giant electronic screens in the country's capital city, Pretoria.

The screens will be showing vote results of the important local city elections in real-time as they are counted all over the country and sent to the main coordination centre described as the ROC (Results Operations Centre).

Over 3 decades these screens have become the symbol of free and fair elections in Africa - where citizens can tune in at anytime of the day and view how their preferred candidates are currently polling. This form of transparent up-to-the-minute national broadcast of the elections counting process is coordinated with other giant screens in 9 provinces relaying their unique regional figures.

It has been argued this eliminates the element of secrecy and reduces the likelihood of post-election disputes.

This week the screens were once again launched after a two-and-a-half-year absence following the previous presidential elections in 2019 and will announce the final local elections results on Thursday, 04 November 2021. The elections are on Monday.

When will we get it right democratically

This is laudable... Nigeria will get to use this for election results 50yrs from now

Even tho the whites helped to build up SA during it's colonization era... They SA also did their best to bring leaders that continued I. that lane of infrastructural development and today, they look more outstanding than every other African countries..... Even th so called giant of Africa is far below SA....


In years to come.... Ghana will be competing with SA... while Nigeria will be competing with S'sudan.....

Indeed black rule has brought SA the most democratic era in the country's history.
