How Do We Deal With The Arrogant Sense Of Entitlement? by emkz: 5:42am On Oct 29, 2021
Good morning Nairalanders,

I am listening to a replay of Your View on TVC streamed yesterday morning. One of the hot topics is about a Nigerian musician, Danny Young, who was contacted by an old classmate who rained curses on him and demanded 30k from him.

He sent the entitled classmate 30 naira.

The ladies on Your View further said acclaimed comedian Ali Baba also complained that someone lambasted him for opening a TV station whereas he claimed he didn't have money to support them.

On a personal level, I had friends who had outrightly demanded for support for their projects (some of which were outrightly ridiculous), weddings and even asking for loans (which we know they'd not pay back). They don't even know the struggles one is going through, but are greedily interested in other people's stuff. Families have been thorn because some members feel they have a stake in their relatives wealth. There are even those who have more, but feel entitled to someone else's little money. We have also seen women who ask other guys for money to celebrate their boyfriend's birthdays.

There are a lot of stories. What are our experiences with our friends and relatives and people we don't know who feel entitled and are ready to rubbish people for saying no? Please those in diaspora, what are your experiences?

Nigerian Man Transfers N30 to Old Schoolmate who Begged for N30k after Insulting Him, Their Chats Cause Stir

(1) A Nigerian man has shared how he dealt with an acclaimed old schoolmate of his who sought financial help from him.

(2) The man who is a singer was surprised when the supposed old schoolmate begged him for N30k after raining insults on him via text message.

(3) The singer surprisingly inquired for the man's account details and sent him money very short of what was demanded.

A Nigerian singer named Danny Young was reached out to via a series of text messages by a fellow who identified himself as Isijola, who explained that he didn't have a smartphone told Danny Young that his wife was at the hospital. He surprisingly followed up his narration with insults at Young who also fired back.

To the surprise of Isijola, Young chatted calmly requesting that he send him his account details and demanded to know how much was needed. Do you have a groundbreaking story you would like us to publish? Isijola appreciated Young for the offer and sought forgiveness for raining insults on him just as he told the singer that N30k was needed. The singer however deliberately sent him N30 instead of N30k and reported the issue on instagram.
