They hardly win souls, they born souls through child bearing... that is why they marry more wives and marry early. If they win souls thier preaching is in jihad, terror and alms giving... For example, if you are in need they can promise to help you if you can accept to join thier religion. Many southerners that convert are because of financial connections, marriage etc and other necessities of life. |

verybadmouth: Dawah, that's what it's called. means invitation or call, it's considered an obligation on Muslims. This "invitation" can take multiple froms, which can range as: 1. Acts of kindness and being gentle (in personality) to display the positive teachings of Islam. 2. Being political, this bridges the gap between dawah and jihad. This involves using political power or methods to incline people to towards Islam. A historical example is the freeing of slaves should they convert to Islam. 3. Reasoning, going into discussion or debates with unbelievers to convince them through the scriptures and wisdom. 4. Straight up just preaching, in the market place, or TV... inviting people to Islam. I hope this explains it. I've excluded Jihad from the mix as it's a different concept. |

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: قَا تِلُوا الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِا للّٰهِ وَلَا بِا لْيَوْمِ الْاٰ خِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُوْنَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهٗ وَلَا يَدِيْنُوْنَ دِيْنَ الْحَـقِّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْـكِتٰبَ حَتّٰى يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَّدٍ وَّهُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled."
