They will attack this post. A vast majority of Nigerians are only happy about negative news about Nigeria and that is why the media sells it. If you had posted how Nigerians live in holes and on trees, eating each other, you would have gotten more approval from the never do good, never see good, always complaining without Knowing the solution Nigerians.

Did you actually read what I wrote at all?

First you're blaming Nigerian corruption on the UK and saying Nigeria and the UK are the same but that is quite frankly very stupid.

The UK is a developed country, Nigeria is not, and that is precisely because of the actions of Nigerian politicians.

How many times do you see amounts to the tune of billions and trillions of pounds found in UK politician's houses?

If British politicians managed the country like Nigeria, we would be experiencing world war three by now.

You're also comparing invading Afghanistan, thousands of miles from the US with Boko Haram which is right at our doorstep?

A sensible comparison would be the having Taliban fighters control territory in the US for decades but your kind are too shallow minded to come up with a sensible comparison.

All these idiotic comparisons just to attack the Economist newspaper for reporting on terrorism in Nigeria when millions are feeling the effects every single day.

Comprehension is causing confusion here

Most of these doom people are in their 20s, doing nothing but wail and pray for Nigeria to fall because they don't like a 78 year old Buhari who has enjoyed Nigeria all his life and even when he dies will be given a state burial. They have forgotten they are the ones who would live with the repercussions of whatever they make of Nigeria.

You can demand for good governance, social amenities and all without being an enemy of your country or making it look worse than it already is. Buhari or whoever is the president is not Nigeria, they can always be kicked out.

I expected a sound logical defence of your view about the author's points but was dissapointed

In summary, he is insinuating that UK as the haven for storing of looted Nigeria patrimony ,Nigeria official corruption is been abetted by the UK a reason they have no moral justification to call us corrupt, as bad as Nigeria is, there good sides of her outside doom and gloom,with$6T US could not stop Talibans in Afganistan yet they still underrate Nigeria for her inability to eradicate terrorism that had been subdued to an extent

Shalom

Nairalanders in general have VERY LOW IQ.

That is why they can't see where this writer is coming from.

Absolutely. They hate themselves.

Who made them this way, only God knows, because they are loads of poorer countries out there, where the people don't hate themselves and their country like this.

No. YOU are stupid. One thing you dullards need to understand for once in your self hating lives is that Corruption is an INTERNATIONAL NETWORK. The banks in the UK are a part of that NETWORK. Their active participation in harbouring stolen funds makes them ACCESSORIES in crime.

Now, ALL this writer is saying is that since the Economist is a British based publication, WHY have they not gone after THEIR BANKS acting as the store for our looted monies, IF they cared about corruption in Nigeria?

How does their tarnishing Nigeria's image without addressing THEIR role in its problems help Nigeria or help you?

This writer is making an intelligent observation which you THICK AND DUMB crowd, stuck in your ''what did the Economist say that is not true'' lane - too naive and stupid to see when you're being manipulated by your enemy to hate and blame yourselves more, while they bank your cash.

A RIGHT THINKING NIGERIAN will say to the Economist. ''Sorry. You can go to hell, Economist, UNTIL you accost YOUR banks and pressure them to stop THEIR role as harbourers of our money.''

What stops you from doing that is your slave mentality and racial inferiority complex that makes them irreproachable to you.

With that mentality, you can never end corruption in Nigeria. Because the minute it gets to where the white man is involved (being part of the network) you freeze. And turn pussy cat.

The UK is a developed country, Nigeria is not, and that is precisely because of the actions of Nigerian politicians.

Wrong and stupid deduction.

80% OF THE WORLD comprises developing countries like Nigeria.

They are materially poor because of the history of western destruction of their civilizations and looting of their wealth to fund the current western riches.

It is why Britain has an annual budget of 2 TRILLION dollars, while Nigeria has one of just 35 billion dollars.

Even if our politicians were saints, we would still struggle to develop.

So get your facts straight.

Because Nigerian politicians cared more about buying houses and living in luxury than using the money to develop human capital and an economy that isn't dependent on oil. That's why there are many stupid, poorly educated Nigerians such as yourself who ignorantly spew nonsense confidently.
