Hmmm.

If those that don't pay tithes won't make heaven according to the preacher, does it mean that those who pay tithe will automatically make heaven?

The qualification for Entry into The Kingdom of God is "OBEDIENCE" To God's Laws.

And as Christ would have said, "which one of them kept the Commandments?"

Quest7777:
...Recently, I heard a sermon that payment of Tithe is not one if the prerequisites for heaven. According to the pastor, his ministry preaches giving generously instead of Tithing.

I kind of agree with the last preacher because:
1. If I am generous enough to be paying 20%, that also means I am not paying Tithe but Offerings.
See how you people are? You heard what you liked and you immediately agreed.

Then why do you seek other opinions after all you have heard the version you like and even before hearing it, you had already set for yourself, your own way, (as you people normally do) rather than FOLLOW God's Way which you already know?

Quest7777:
Over the years, I have been consistently paying about 5% of my income as Tithe. Previously I struggled to pay 10% because of so many financial commitments I had.

Few months ago I heard a sermon that anything less than 10% is Offering & not Tithing. To make matters worse, I heard another sermon that all non-tithe payers shall go to hell fire.

Recently, I heard a sermon that payment of Tithe is not one if the prerequisites for heaven. According to the pastor, his ministry preaches giving generously instead of Tithing.

I kind of agree with the last preacher because:
1. If I am generous enough to be paying 20%, that also means I am not paying Tithe but Offerings.

2. Christ would have paid so much attention to Tithe if it was one of the prerequisites for Heaven.

3. Lastly, I recently incurred a medical bill of over half a million. How do you factor this in paying Tithe.

Pls what's your take on this? Only Christian opinions & answers.

If u are struggling.... don’t pay..

So if u are not doing it from your heart and cheerfully... u are not doing it at all..

Read your Bible, you say no. Na wetin religious hustlers talk you prefer to follow.

Tithe counts for nothing in making heaven neither does it impact your wealth. Even the Bible says there are more important things than tithe, if you neglect those and pay tithes, your tithe is useless.

Read your Bible. I don't tithe, I don't believe in hell fire and any other funny pastoral doctrine used to fleece.
