Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly considering rescinding Sergio Ramos' contract and let him walk away from the club for free as his injury nightmare continues to haunt the club, Newspremises gathered.

The Spanish defender moved to PSG on a free transfer in the summer from Real Madrid but is yet to make his debut due to a calf problem that he suffered three months ago.

Ramos' last appearance came in Real Madrid colours during their Champions League semi-final second leg defeat at Chelsea on May 5.

French magazine, Le Parisien has claimed PSG would be willing to let him walk away from the club if his fitness problems continue as the club feel they made a mistake signing the 35-year-old.

However, the club would need to reach an agreement with Ramos first before they can tear up his contract, the outlet reports.

'The trust that some placed in the defender at the time of his signing, or even after his calf injury a few weeks later, is no longer unshakable today,' reads the report in Le Parisien.

PSG were aggressive in the last transfer market, bringing in Ramos, Lionel Messi and Georginio Wijnaldum on free transfers as well as splashing out on the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi. '

PSG released a statement last week announcing that Ramos would be 'considered' for a return to training imminently.

It read: 'The evolution of Sergio Ramos' recovery program, coordinated by the medical staff, is progressing very well.

'Continuous resumption with the group may be considered in the course of next week.'

The guy is old already. I don't think he still have anything tangible to offer PSG, than just collecting wages week-in-week-out.

What makes him old already?? As at when he left Madrid he was the Captain and major defensive player. Lille who are the defending Champions are captained by Jose Fonte who is 37. Dante who plays for d table toppers Nice, is 38. Koscielny is 36 and is also a defender. Is Ramos not better than them all? It's unfortunate he's had to deal with injury problems ever since he signed whixh points to adaptation with their training tactics.

injuries wont allow him play bcoz his age wont allow him heal dt fast n compete in d highest level..
PSG should Gv him more time to adapt bcox dey would need his experience in dt defense if dey want to aim for UCL glory
PSG allowing him leave may be d end of top level European football for him n see us losing the greatest defender in europe in terms of achievement for both club n country for d past two decade...

35 year old isnt dt old...jus say he had passed his prime n injuries wont allow him compete..
Ramos was one of the greatest defenders in europe n i see no overhyped defender in the whole of EPL for the past two decades coming close to his achievement for country n clubs n even goals scored....pls some respect on his name pls..
