Anyone who can think deeply already knows that Nigeria is breaking up gradually. Forget about rhetoric and propaganda from both divids but that's the reality. Igbos are the ones that will determine if Nigeria breaks up or not, and I will explain why in this article.

The truth is that secessionist groups, particularly IPOB have capitalized on mass Igbo anger against Nigeria to build a formidable base in the East. Already, they're fast becoming so powerful in Igboland that you can't come out publicly now to condemn them in the SE!

The question is, how did IPOB grew from obscurity to become so powerful post 2015? Simple, prior to 2015, many Igbos, especially the elite started believing that Igbo reintegration into Nigeria is now a reality. But that hope was totally destroyed when Buhari emerged and started a renewed national renaissance against Igbos and whatever they stood for. For the first time since 1970, Igbos became alienated again and grossly discriminated against and many lost hope of ever being accepted in Nigeria. IPOB was on hand to exploit the situation to their advantage and boom, their ranks swelled! Their accounts swelled from global donations too! And their capacity equally grew from an obscure group to a behemoth controlling millions of dollars and millions of followers around the world!!

If by 2023, and against all wise counsel, Igbos are denied again, whether by hook or crook, I seriously doubt Nigeria can withstand the outcome and survive as a nation. The Nigeria of 1967 that was seen by the rest of Africa and the world as a beacon of hope for the continent is not the Nigeria of 2021 that is now a huge source of embarrassment and worry. Crude oil that made UK so desperate to support Nigeria, even at the cost of millions of lives is no longer desirable with moves towards clean energy sources. The argument that allowing Nigeria to break up will cause instability in Africa as other nations will do likewise was a massively used propaganda in 1967 but it won't work now.

The last thing North wants is for Nigeria to break up because obviously that would result in sorrows for them. But any major conflict between Igbos and Nigeria will definitely end up in break up, even if it lasts 1 year or 10 years because it would be a guerilla conflict and there won't be a clear winner until UN eventually wades in. Now, whenever UN moves in to restore peace, they always arrive with referendum. A referendum, especially after a bitter guerilla warfare can only result in 100% vote for independence.

Now, once Igbos leave, which other Southern group will want to remain?

Allowing Yorubas to rule in 2023 will add zero advantage to Nigeria's continued existence or to North because Yorubas would only lose interest in Nigeria once Igbos leave but provided Igbos remain, they will remain too regardless of the insecurity situation.

The only thing that would prevent the violent break up of Nigeria now and going forward is Igbo presidency in 2023. It's not a threat but based on realistic projections

Nobody is going to drop the presidential position on any Igbo man's laps..

There're processes involved in getting the presidential ticket.

Let any Worthy Igbo man come out to contest under any political party against other aspirants from other parties and let the people decide who they will vote for..

This thing is simple.

And that was how Obasanjo went about his.

Someone that was brought out of jail, pardoned, and sponsored with funds, just so the Yorubas will have a bite of the presidency.

To be honest, I prefer a separate Igbo nation than being in a nation with people whose hearts and conscience are as ugly as they look.

Every president is sponsored by those who aim to benefit from it.
OBJ had an opponent then and there is a reason OBJ lost all SW states during that election.

Naira means - N=never A=allow I=Igbos R=rule A=again. May thunder kill any Igbo presidential candidate. It is either referendum or we die and die and die
