SOME HARD QUESTIONS FOR AFRICAN CHRISTIANS TO ANSWER, NOW – BEFORE THEY DIE – 01

The vanity of human beings makes many believe that they will go to Heaven when they die. African Christians most especially think like that. Everywhere in Africa we see Christians who “speak in tongues” as they call it, so firmly believe that will take them to Heaven. Everywhere in Africa we see Christians who sing loudly as they do chores outside or walk along the roadside, disturbing those who must suffer their loud voices, but who are convinced God is happy with them making noise and disturbing others, and they are so certain Heaven awaits them. Everywhere in Africa we see Christians who believe their dreams and “visions” must come only from God (never Satan!) and that surely they have a mansion in Heaven.

There is another common form of African Christian. This one is selfish through and through but resists any occasion to repent and reform. This type of African Christian is convinced that their role in life is to be a good parent to their children. They have made money either through links to big men, or through the well-known corruption of African civil servants, or through offering products or services at high prices to those who have looted public money. They use the money they gain mostly to train their children in expensive private schools in Africa, or abroad, safe from the African environment. Such parents will go further to do whatever it takes so that their children who studied abroad will remain there by either buying them foreign citizenship, or using immigration lawyers to find any loopholes so that their children can remain away from Africa. Their children are happy and safe. For those who children remain in Africa, they are favoured, and live different lives from the masses. To these African Christians, God blesses just them and their children! Jesus suffered and died just for them and their children to have a life of ease. Not for one moment can the spirits of these African Christians consider the lives of the children of the poor Africans.

These prospering African Christians believe the poor and suffering should rise up and save themselves since they are the ones suffering. Does that sound like true Christianity? Does that sound like someone who knows God, and in whom the Holy Spirit lives?

African Christian, each day you come closer to your death. Africa has many problems, we know it. Go and find a cause that will benefit the children of others, and that is not about your own children. Go and begin to care about your community. Go and begin to live as a Christian. Looking after your children means nothing. Even the pagans do that!

Well said but it's every where in the world ... Christianity is a badge that most wave to identify with a group of people and not a way of life in spirit and in truth.

That is why you see redeem members who are writing exams to become workers in the church involving in exam malpractice.. I know someone who the wife of the pastor of her parish was the one leaking the papers to her ...
