And when your next they lure to get locked up by EFCC don’t open a thread here on nairaland.

Before you preach to me about been innocent; note that you can’t enter efcc’s office and come out un_robbed of your account balance.

Ask those that have had a case with them. Innocent or guilty if they were robbed or not. This is Nigeria.
rumor has it obi cubana paid 500k for his release. Can u imagine

I actually read their statement word for word and was impressed ... especially by their choice of words.

And as for accountability? My guy forget it jare.... people wey believe in accountability for this country no reach 100 lol

Every time I get on social media apps like Twitter, Instagram and co. I just shake my head at how narrow minded most Nigerians (old and young) are.

I.e a young chap like myself splashing 10m at a night club and nobody is calling the police? If efcc even manage raid am e go dey video dey claim harassment and people will support him.

... or a civil servant on less than 5m a year stepping onto the altar to announce a donation of N1m to the church “project”

Nigerians never imagine if it were their loved ones who fell victim to the fraud, kidnap, rituals, extortion and other criminal acts the person “might” have done to make that money... it is for this reason that criminality thrives in Nigeria.

No accountability...

This is profiling and it's one of the reasons why Nigeria is still backwards till today because of this local mentality. what's the difference between you and Sars with the nonsense you typed here.

Imagine you receive that amount from your boss or company for something vital and they freeze your account and tell you to travel to Lagos with your documents...is that not nonsense?? Are they the only banks??.. nonsense

Clearly you don't understand me. People threatening to leave a bank because the bank follows the CBN guideline will meet the same situation wherever they go. So, if you think you'll take your business from Kuda bank to UBA because you don't want to answer KYC questions then I'm sorry for you.

ehh i did not know that many people have been complaining about Kuda. Maybe that is why they are yet to respond to my email for more than a week now.

IamDavid:

Okay. I advertised kuda more than you until I had a personal encounter. I didnt take a kobo that doesn't belong to me. The normal procedure should be innocent until proven guilty, kuda uses guilty for months, until extremely proven innocent. You don't wanna go through that horrible experience. We all use different banks (which are all under CBN) and we know why were saying kuda is not good especially if your into online businesses, not just crypto. Thousands of people complaining can't be mad na

Lol, YOU THINK I AM AGAINST YOU DOING CRYPTO?? F*CK!! I DO CRYPTO!!!. My issue is with you people blaming Kuda instead of attacking the regulator forcing them to take these decisions! For Pete's sake. Crypto helped Kuda acquire more customers when other banks started blocking bank accounts, and you think they are happy this is happening?

I've been using this bank for a while now and they've been very ok. It's good Kuda came up with this statement, as it clarifies a lot of ambiguity. I believe as a people, Nigerians have a problem following laid down regulations. That's why the system is so messed up: most people want to just get their way, not minding how it affects others. The cumulative effect of that is where we are as a nation today. Exactly!Na so oooo!
The reason people were complaining in the first place was because they called the guy to their office under false pretense.....they could easily have reported him to Efcc and left it at that.

Yes without alerting the customer. Reason being that once the customer is alerted he or she would run.

And it is also an offence for the teller or any member of the Bank staff to tip the customer.

This your submission is an indication of the low quality of Nigerians.
Because USA, UK and EU allows cryptocurrency trading, then Nigeria must allow it.
Are you aware that China has banned cryptocurrency trading in their country.
The reason is because it can bring down the economy, it is akin to a pyramid scheme.
If it brings down the Nigerian economy, the same you will start blaming Buhari and Emefiele, that they are the most useless persons on Earth, especially if you lose your money in the trade.
You sir and people with you mindset, are the most useless people on Earth.

no one can flee with your money with p2p, u just need to report the vendor and upload payment prove . The crypto is reserved with the escrow . It’s safe.

It happens even on big exchanges especially when transaction gets delayed and double payment is effected.

What law does crypto trading violate?

Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) which is the Apex bank in the country and the chief financial regulator early this year directed all deposit money banks and other financial institutions to desist from transacting in and with entities dealing in cryptocurrencies.

the significant risks that transacting in cryptocurrencies portend, including loss of investments, money laundering, terrorism financing, illicit fund flows, and criminal activities.

To be clear, the CBN did not outlaw trade in crypto transactions; it only directed banks and other financial institutions to close the accounts used for cryptocurrency operations and desist from transacting with entities dealing in crypto.

when transaction gets delayed , then you will wait till you get alert before releasing crypto..

And if you’re the buyer , provided you’ve marked paid, the trade can’t expire.

Even if the seller/ buyer asks you to cancel , you will stand your ground , until u get your payment .

Only a newbie gets scammed using p2p
