One killed as Cameroonian Soldiers repelled attack from armed Biafra group 12 November, 2021 One Cameroonian Soldier has been killed in an exchange of gunfire between the Rapid d'intervention Battalion (BIR) and armed group suspected to be militia members of Biafra Nations League, BNL in the early hours of Friday in Abana, Bakassi Peninsula, a source in the Peninsula have disclosed that the Biafran group have attempted to invade the maritime borders between Cameroon and Nigeria where some oil firms are operating. Few days ago, BNL barricaded the WELCOME TO BAKASSI gate , a boundary between Akpabuyo and Bakassi, an area on Nigerian side leading to the Peninsule, they hoisted the Biafran flag in front of the entrance, an action which attracted the Nigerian Army to the scene. Some persons who identified themselves as Ward 7 Bakassi have come out to protest against the activities of BNL recently, in a video making round they denounced the Biafran Republic, according to BNL, the protesters are government agents protesting under duress.
