Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya received in audience, the Special Adviser to the President on on Social Investment, Hajiya Maryam Uwais who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The Presidential aide, was accompanied by the Gombe State First Lady, Hajiya Asma'u Inuwa Yahaya and other officials of the ARC-P office.

Hajiya Maryam Uwais, who is in Gombe for the graduation of the first batch of At Risk Children Programme, ARC-P Youth Facilitators holding tomorrow, Saturday, 13th November, 2021, told Governor Yahaya that Gombe has now become a role model for other states in the implementation of the newly introduced youths and women empowerment scheme.

She disclosed that Gombe is the first to key into the programme and first to witness the graduation of facilitators on training format.

Under the ARC-P programme, youths will be trained in ICT,Agriculture,entrepreneurial and financial literacy,digital and mental skills,child rights and mentorship,ARC-P national goals as well as monitoring,evaluation and reporting.

Recall that Gombe State has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment on the implementation of At-Risk Children Project’.

No fewer than 500 volunteers were trained under the At Risk Children Project in Gombe.

The graduation ceremony will take place at the Hajiya Amina Mohammed Skills Accusation Center, Bypass Gombe by 10 o'clock in the morning.
