Some days ago, I read how #200,000+ was stolen via recharge card. Yesterday I discovered #530 was deducted because It was deducted around 1:50am(

Action taken
1. Moved balance to non ATM enabled account.

2. Will change ATM at my bank.

My ATM card got compromised some weeks ago, I blocked it and refuse to take another.

At least, I'm sure that theft via card details won't happen for now.

BTW, scammers full Nigeria

I experienced same thing, I had to put a call through to one of their customer care agent and, I was informed that the deduction incurred were charges debited for making use of USSD code transactions via your mtn line. Hope this helps.

Stop using your card to purchase things online, you can use online wallets that accepts transfers like fair money and kuda bank to fund your wallet then use it to pay for your subscription, electricity, data, shopping...etc.

Don't and I repeat don't ever upload your card details on any website, cos once the website gets compromised, your account will as well.

Very soon Nigerians will stop using ATM cards due to fear of theft,

This I have seen.

It still feels like I lost my soul mate.

Access Bank staff was just looking at me like cinema while I complain. All they did was point to a mallam rolling himself on the floor. He just lost 4m

They were debiting me 16k and 15k simultaneously until it got to 149k that's when the bank I have been calling since morning then blocked my account.

Gosh. I am sincerely considering operating a non ATM card accounts.

I wonder what is really going on with our banks these days.
Since last night, I have been trying to transfer money from one of my accounts to someone and they said I should enter my PIN+TOKEN, meanwhile I don't have a token.

I later chatted them up and they said the token was requested because I was transferring above 100k using USSD.

So, I decided to transfer just 100k first then transfer the rest today. Guess what? Since yesterday till now the transfer hasn't been successful.

I also have discovered that, all anyone will need to wipe off your account is just the details on your card and everything will be gone.

grin

I think something is wrong with FBN USSD services. About 2weeks ago, I initiated an airtime purchase of ₦2,000..got debited but never credited.

I sent them a mail after more than 24hrs without reversal, they logged the complaint and gave 5workings days to investigate and revert..it's been more than a week..no response.

I was lucky to have had one attempt of ₦400 recharge that was unsuccessful yesterday reversed.
Issue like this are always quickly resolved when you call out these banks on twitter, but alas, Buhari and Lai mhmd don give them breathing space to fully utilise their anyhowness. This is Nigeria where every conceivable thing is rigged against you.
