Outskirts of Lagos is full of faulty buildings. There is no supervision of buildings going on there. Every Laye, Sheriff or Idris is a building Engineer there. |

It is either Lagos soil is not good for storey buildings or building materials are substandard or we have unprofessional building engineers or d regulatory agencies are corrupt & incompetent. |

Something is definitely wrong somewhere. In the 1980s and 1990s uneducated and uncertified Engineers built tens of thousands of highrises of 4 to 6 floors in many Nigerian cities especially Southeast but there were barely cases of building collapse. 99.9% of the buildings are still very much in use till today with no cracks. I suspect cement more than I suspect other materials.
