As the World Cup qualifiers gradually winds down to a close, some countries have sealed their spots for Qatar 2022. However, many other countries are yet to secure their qualification, either automatically or via the play-offs..

Two of Europe’s 13 FIFA World cup slots are now qualified. While 8 more sides have the opportunity to qualify during the last round of group matches.

The leaders of each group will be automatically qualified for the competition which will take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022 and 3 more teams will be confirmed at the completion of March play-offs.

Who has qualified for Qatar 2020?
So far, some teams have qualified for the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022. Below are the teams and how they qualified:

1. Qatar: The Middle Eastern country of Qatar was the first team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, when they were announced as the host nation on December 2, 2010.

2. Germany: The Germans were the second to seal their spot in the World Cup after securing the top spot in Group J on October 11, 202. This came after a 4-0 victory over North Macedonia.

3. Denmark: Denmark also secured a spot in the upcoming World Cup after a 1-0 victory over Austri. The Danes sealed a top spot finish in Group F on October 12, 2021.

4. Brazil: Brazil is the only CONMEBOL team that has gained qualification so far after their fate was sealed on November 11, 2021.

5. Belgium: Belgium qualified for the world cup as Group E winners after a 3-1 victory over Estonia.

6. France: France also sealed their qualification as Group D winners after an 8-0 victory over Kazakhstan on November 13, 2021.

7. Croatia: Croatia’s 1-0 victory over Russia sealed their place in the upcoming World Cup after finishing as group winners.

8. Switzerland: They took the top spot at the expense of Italy who couldn’t secure a win against Noethern Ireland.

9. Serbia: They shocked Portugal in Lisbon with a late header from Mitrovic. This pushed Portugal to second in Group A and play-off spot.

10. Spain: La Roja sealed their World Cup place with a later striker from Alvaro Morata, pushing Sweden to the playoff place in Group B.

11. England: The Three Lions qualified for Qatar 2022 ins style with a 10-0 hammering of San Marino. The Euro 2020 finalists can now prepare for another tournament where they will be regarded as one of the favourites.
