Woman Arrested For Pouring Hot Water On Her 9-Year-Old Housemaid In Port Harcourt

A woman has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for pouring hot water on her 9- year-old housemaid. HGS Media Plus gathered.

The suspect identified as Oluchi Chinedu Nkemjika was arrested at Paradise Avenue, off St. Michael Street, Iwofe in Port Harcourt.

It was gathered that the suspect physically assaulted the victim for four days after she had poured hot water on her.

Oluchi was arrested following the intervention of neighbors who reported her to the police.

It was also gathered that the suspect had used a hot knife on the victim.

Confirming the arrest, spokesperson of the command, Nnamdi Omoni, said that the matter is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, adding that justice shall be served.
