Very many relearning required by the ECU can be done via power recycle ... In this case disconnecting the battery terminals for some time .. there is also instances I have read where you may have to touch both positive and negative terminals of the cable after disconnecting or removing the battery ...

The idle control selenoid is a major culprit in this situations often a time would require replacement ..

A vaccum leak may cause this as well , but in this case the ECU usually default to its programmed settings where it would seem to bypass the Air flow sensor ..

A clogged throttle body could be responsible for this too .. as u have in older Mercedes Benz , where it's often advisable to always clean the throttle head ..

pls I had a terrible accident wt my car around Oct last yr,,and this has cost me a lot.. bought gear box and so many tns..The car is still wt mechanic cause I don't av money now to fix d little remaining..My problem is when they start d car,, instead doing normal slow,,it always very high above 3..Am talking of d temperature..this is direct Belgium car not up to five months before d accident...what could be d problem? Was thinking mayb d mechanic av tampered wt my engine due to long stay at their workshop.
