are we now importing gas or what, why should int'l price have so much adverse effect on commodity locally produced, a waste for that matter.

Nigeria govt just made everything wey person read for school look like, fiction ... the lower the DD in nigeria still = the higher the price.

Guys let’s stop being myopic.. the govt can’t determine the price of Gas, it’s a commodity which is actively played in the international market. Only thing govt can do is to subsidise.

Every country in the world is crying about the sharp increase in the price of gas.
The main issue affecting Nigerians with the increase is cause we use it mainly to cook. Now with many industries switching to gas as their power source, it will definitely affect price of goods. Its simple economics, law of demand and supply.

Globally people feel the increase even more as they need gas, for example, to heat their homes during this cold period in addition to cooking.
The only thing the FG can do is subsidise the gas, other than that the truth is the FG can do nothing about it. Unless they want to lie to you just to keep your temper down for the time being until gas prices begin to decline.
