If you live in Lagos, if you drive, or cares about the mental wellbeing of your loved ones in Lagos who drive anything, gather here lets create awareness.

At every major road junction now in Lagos, you will find functional traffic lights.

But, if you have a minute, look closely around, and between the traffic lights, you will find hidden security camera.

They are all working.

Lagos State government use this camera for several things, but I want to draw attention to two.

The cameras copy plate number of vehicles which disobey traffic lights.

They also copy plate numbers of every vehicle that use the roads. Then, with the database of Vehicle registration and documentation, they automatically blacklist vehicles whose insurance, road worthiness or vehicle licence has expired.

You will normally continue your life and driving on the crazy Lagos roads, one day, The VIO team are able to stop you on the road, even when you have renewed all your papers, just watch as almost four members of the VIO group would be keying in your vehicle plate number on a portal on their phone, most likely, they will show you the goodness, "your vehicle has been blacklisted" at that point, they will order you to get down and hand over the key.

What this means is that Lagos State government is busy milking people in Lagos in order to generate huge revenues.

The minimum amounts you will spend once they tell you that your vehicle has been blacklisted is 20,000 naira.

It is even better that, on your own, you visit www.payvis.org
Key in your vehicle plate registration number without spaces and see if you have an outstanding bill.
