According to Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, the petrol subsidy costs 150 billion naira monthly.

“We have a situation wherein a month, the subsidy costs as much as N150 billion. That means NNPC has to use that amount to pay for buying the PMS and distributing it across the country,” she said.

150 billion naira times 12 months = 1.8 trillion naira.

They want to replace it with transport subsidy of 5,000 naira monthly to 30-40 million Nigerians.

Let's use 35 million Nigerians as beneficiaries

5,000 times 35 million = 175 billion naira.

175 billion naira times 12 months = 2.1 trillion naira.

From frying pan to fire. 1.8 trillion naira burden to 2.1 trillion naira burden.

She's not clueless at all. It's the same BuhariFulani Cabal she represents that openly tell Nigeria what else they wanna loot. Nobody can do anything bout it.

Applying common logic, it does not make any sense to replace fuel subsidy with the fictitious 5k allowance to some phantom poorest of the poor.

But in reality, these people know too well what they're doing. They aren't stupid but cunny.

Same people that frittered away Abacha's recovered loot on homegrown feeding program even during lockdown, despite public outcry.

Same people that conducted the ever glaring vote buying with trader's money and other outrageous schemes.

The idea may sound stupid but these people aren't stupid. They're on a mission.
