Now I know this system is deliberately design not to work for Nigerians so that the government and their Scammer politicians can cash out back to back

120b subsides for 200b palietive monthly to untraceable undocumented poor Nigerians in an un identify location

It a scam

Another apc government scam to loot money for elections rigging in 2023
Recheck your calculation.
Should be 240b yearly.

This is a good step in the right direction but it comes with harsh reality. A government spending 250billion naira montly subsidizing fuel and also financing other sectors isn't a broke government but a government running the rat race in stagnation.

We need to all face this hard reality of subsidy removal now and let our children enjoy the reward. I know you would say, "The government is too corrupt to be trusted for any fruitful outcome of subsidy removal."

But

Can we just have a little faith in them for once?

Economy and politics compliments each other and so, even if we vote in a trusted young leader to lead Nigerian; won't he need money to execute his leadership?

Faith? Faith in a government that has brazenly adopted nepotistic approach to governance? Ignored the cries of Nigerians in the south especially victims of the nefarious activities of the Herdsmen. A government corrupt enough to instill a state government against the will of the people with a criminal and corrupt attorney general at the helm?
Faith in this government was our biggest mistake in modern history.

I think that either way , the government is going to do it

Fuel prices are rising and with it the cost of refining fuel and with it the cost of subsidy

Either goverment removes subsidy or takes another loan or salaries and wages don't get paid
Either way the government is still paying subsidy!
So it is right back to it's initial problem

I don't know where she got #250 billion per month subsidy.
The last calculation by nnpc it was #150 billion per month.
Let us now take her word for it.
The fg removes #250 billion subsidy per month(that covers the 200 million Nigerians).there will be price movement across board.
The fg now takes #200 billion per month to pay for transport of 40 million Nigerians as palliative!(@ #5000.per head)

So the question is what has been subsidized!

True. Food for thought
There are many ingenious ways the fg can go about the problem of income from oil proceeds but it has itself to blame for not taking economy serious as far back as 2015.

They should leave the subsidy as it is jare
They should leave the subsidy abeg because even if they remove it there wouldn't be any positive impact after all, so why handing to our suffering and letting use suffer a dual kind of suffering.

Food prices, everything is going up and they are yet to regulate it and now another hardship in another dimension.

If only they supported gej then by now we would ve long moved pass this.... This government is fraudulent and selfish and they brought all this mess upon themselves and Nigerians due to their wicked and selfish politics.

When gej removed part of the subsidy, they invested some of the profits on Nigerians through youwin. I know a lady that got 5m grant for her agric business and some barbers too. Some transporters got buses for their business due to the transparency of the process. But these selfish guys are talking about 5k,people that couldn't distribute mere indomie transparently during covid-19, what about the so called cct that was a huge flop?

He wanted subsidy out of the way so he and very few can monopolies the system at a huge.
The lobbied of PIB and every others have proved that he is using the government at achieve is aim.
Dangote Refinery ought to be operating since last year.

NNPC is also fixing up 2 of its moribund refineries . They too love profots

No hate on Dangote. He is greed and monopolistic

Do you know how sophisticated BUA is. And also a northerner. Ikpella in Edo state was once under the control of BUA. Dangote went underground with Obaseki to help him win election during is first tenure for him to have that place. BUA fought back through court injunction till today.... Ikpella case is still dragging on in court

I've always thought as much: removing the subsidy in a pre-election year will be suicidal to their political ambitions.

The cost of governance alone can take care of that.
Why push the people into more poverty and lack?

I hope you know the subsidy removal money won't be channeled into building refinery? They want to be paying audio 5k monthly. So be guided on the labor you want to labor for your unborn children.

5000 x 40m x 6 months = 1.2billion naira, is not better to start up cottage industries with collaboration China with such funds? With such more people will be employed and earn far more than the 5k peanut.
1.2 trillion actually. Typo.
