The Europeans that Africans should hate for slave trade are being manipulated to hate the Chinese that is actually help them..

So what's even bad if the Chinese take over the airport? Isn't it the same Ugandas that will still be using the airport? Or will the fact that the Chinese manage the airport mean that they will be above the Uganda government. The airport can still be crippled by the Government if they want to.

Your knowledge of International law and diplomacy is zero.. go back and read about sovereignty of nations and guiding principles to relate with other sovereign countries.

The government of Uganda would be putting the fate and infact lives of millions of Ugandans in the hands of Chinese foreigners in terms of security and unchecked importation. The Ugandan Customs won't have a say in the running of their port and won't be able to protect Uganda's national interests.

Not everything is akara and moi moi politics, try to educate yourself and seek knowledge as much as you can. This overbearing attitude is why most countries are having issues with China and threatening nuclear warfare.

On Tuesday, 17 November 2015, the Uganda government signed an agreement with Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) to borrow $207 million at two per cent upon disbursement. The loan had a maturity period of 20 years including a seven-year grace period.
It has now emerged that the deal signed with the Chinese lenders virtually means Uganda “surrendered” its most prominent and only international airport.
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) says some provisions in the Financing Agreement with China expose Entebbe International Airport and other Ugandan assets to be attached and taken over by Chinese lenders upon arbitration in Beijing.
It also emerged that China has rejected recent pleas by Uganda to renegotiate the toxic clauses of the 2015 loan, leaving Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s administration in limbo.
According to the Daily Monitor, the Ugandan government waived international immunity in the agreement it signed to secure the loans, exposing Entebbe International Airport to take over without international protection.
In desperation, Uganda in March sent a delegation to Beijing hoping to renegotiate the toxic clauses of the deal but the officials came back empty-handed as China would not allow the terms of the original deal to be varied.
Last week, Uganda’s Finance Minister Matia Kasaija apologized to parliament for the “mishandling of the $207 million loan” from the China Exim Bank to expand Entebbe International Airport.
Progress of works at the airport, built in 1972, has reached 75.2 per cent, with two runways having reached overall completion of 100 per cent.
Entebbe International Airport is Uganda’s only international airport and handles over 1.9 million passengers per year. Its seizure by China would greatly dent the legacy of the 77-year-old Museveni, who came to power on the back of an armed uprising in 1986, and expose him to election defeat.

Rotimi Amaechi your minister for transportation also signed a loan deal with China and was dumb not to even notice there was the above clause on the loan documents which allows china come into the country to assume control of what ever they deem fit ,should the said loan not be paid back within a stipulated period.
This is china's own subtle way of taking over most African economies.

So ours is loading as well, let's all brace up..

From all clear indices today.. Nigeria can't repay Chinese loans, IMF and world bank loans..
It was during Obasanjo's tenure that most of our foreign debts got cleared when Oil had value and the Naira had fair forex value, not now when things have gone really bad.

China with a population of 1.3 billion people are targeting African markets to sell their China-made goods to, keeping their own people engaged and employed in their industries there in China while Nigerian and African youths continue in pains of unemployment, massive job losses and zero Industrial activities or presence.
Corruption and bad leadership are the bane of the Black man and the Black society.

dey their dey complain....how many people do you personaly employ....??

when you have money you immediatly go buy foreighn goods....
people like dino you clap, people like tinubu, dangote you hate....

who you wan blame other than yourself....??

Actually, there is no international law anywhere that gives one sovereign nation powers to take over another sovereign nation's assets whether loans or debts or anything.. China sees Africans as semi-humans, reason they are making moves with no legal backing to colonize Africa.

then we can actualy say, that its china that is riskin alot....because their are realy no clear law allowin a nation to take over another nations assets....

So what is wrong with this? Most international airports are privately owned. The Ugandan government will collect their taxes every year and the Chinese management is constrained to follow Ugandan laws

Ha! Common sense is not common. Airport ?

It is still the government that would set policies that can affect the air border. Aren't there private airport in the US? Does that mean the Private individual can do whatever he/she likes because he owns it? The Airport and its owner(s) is still subjected to the US government
