Her parents might not even be aware. Not all parents are always home during the day. Moreover, most kids are being enrolled in tutorial centres now, hence the reason it might be possible for her to use the that as an avenue to slip away.

NOTE: I'm not making excuses for her parents.

I thought some fo.ols are always quick to say we should mind our business. If that lady had minded her business, only God knows what would have befall that 13-year old girl.

Exactly!!! Most kids don't even kmow about the ills going on in the society. Parents should try and let their kids know that the phones/tablets given to them could be used to read news and stay updated about their environment.
