Does that mean making Sunday a work-free day is part of Christianization?

In the Western world, lots of people work on Sundays, I guess that also makes it idolization day.
has Nigeria not functioned on a 5 working day system since independence? Moreover why is there sharia in the 1999 constitution?

In Islamic countries, Fridays are public holidays while people work on Sundays. Many moslems in Nigeria have fantasised about Fridays being work free, Elrufai wants to realise that fantasy. I swear it down, that guy neither gives a fuçk about Kaduna State workers not their relationship with their family members, he is to wicked to care!
He may eventually sell the idea to their larger community

Nigerian govt workers working from home?
With which technology, abeg?

How many of them don't even have andriod phones?
For many others, “smart technology” ends in Whatsapp

Does the government have computers and constant electricity? Internet subscription nko?

Working from home when our documents are still stacked in paper files

They were not even efficient and effective when it was 5-working days, how much less now.
People that will not work even in front of their bosses in the office are the ones that will work at home. Joke of a Governor!

There some laws I see This governors make that give me the notion that they know every states is on its own. Some states prohibit alcohol, some states have sharia, some states are going to work for 4 days in a week. Are we still in one country?

In a democracy, each state are supposed to be govern by their own legislation.

This man always taking the lead ahead of other governors in innovative ideas.

This is not innovation. A stupid WISDOM to spare friday for his brothers. While not Wednesday? At least there's Saturday and Sunday to rest.

Muslims across the north have been agitating for work free Friday.
Re: Kaduna State To Transition To 4-Day Work Week by Abujakenneth: 8:09pm On Nov 29, 2021
This is uncostitutional. By virtue of Section 4(3) and Items 34, 51 & 68 of the Exclusive Legislative List of the Constitution only the National Assembly is competent to legislate on the length of working hours/ weekdays or non-working days/public holidays, respectively.

4 days work week in a country where productivity is already low ?

They are copying developed countries like America work system - misplaced priority at its highest undecided

Provide more job opportunities first!

Ps: he should give herds men 1 day work week.

Re: Kaduna State To Transition To 4-Day Work Week by Olanny(m): 8:23pm On Nov 29, 2021
Don't be surprised it's a plan to make room for Friday (Muslim Kumar) to be a work free day just like Sundays for Christian.
Are you surprised the northern states are gradually adjusting to the desired Islamic state of the Boko haram/ISWAP terrorist?.
Don't forget they have sharia court (Islamic court) that is mostly functional than the conventional court we have in the east and west.

This is an innovative idea? Nigeria is really backward. This guy just wants to give Muslims Friday as an official holiday, they already don't either go to work that day or just go for a few hours. His state pays less than 60 USD as Minimum wage to its government workers, he should think of being innovative in increasing the state income in geometric order so that his state minimum wage can transcend to about 150 USD for a start. Nigerian politicians are really dramatic, don't fall 5for their trap.

See all these Tribalistic & Religious monkeys saying it is islamization. They can't just bare to remain neutral or say let's see how this goes.
When Rochas did this in Imo, you did not shout Islamization.
Countries like Gambia, Iceland , Japan practice this 4 day work system and it has nothing to do with religion.
Doing some research would save you lots from sounding very annoying and stupid.
Having sense shouldn't be so difficult because of tribe & religion.

A poor country like Nigeria should work 8 days a week. All truly great nations make hardworking their doctrine.

Working from home when our documents are still stacked in paper files

They were not even efficient and effective when it was 5-working days, how much less now.

The method has been tested during the covid19 lockdown and it works, that's is they are making it generic. It was even three days a week during that period. I personally see a civil servant with documents in her house working on it. I initially thought it was school books until she told me it's was assignment from office.

You have forgotten to include that some states require non indigenous to wear tags, some have banned cattle, some have invariably declared Monday sit at home. Some say fg have no right collecting tax from their domain any more.
That's why those who argue that restructuring is not the problem have upper hands. If we can practice even less than a quarter of our constitution, we can see our federalism at work
Re: Kaduna State To Transition To 4-Day Work Week by orisa37: 9:37pm On Nov 29, 2021
We have Presidential Orders in the Constitution for things like this which must be certified by NASS. THERE IS NO GOVERNORS' ORDER.
