I have tried to explain this multiple times but many people seem to not understand what colonization means, they will rather listen to the rabble talks in the Western media. Chinese are a friend with benefits to Africa, but if Africa refused to take this opportunity and started its own industrialization just like China did, then the whole thing could go from friendship turning colonialism for the continent, because who wants to associate with backwardness just like most African leaders are?

Western Europe never wanted to do business with Africa. They regarded us as inferior and wanted to use trade war to keep us poor up till today. The Chinese regard us as equals. As of 2018, trade volume between Africa and China has surpassed $200 billion and still growing making China Africa's largest trading partner. Trade is very important.
