A pastor in Bayelsa State has put a ‘For Sale’ sign on his church premises. The signboard reads: “This church is for sale. Serious buyers can contact the pastor”. According to sources the pastor decided to sell the church after unsuccessful attempts to break even. One of sources who is close to the pastor told YeyeNews.com that the young pastor invested all his savings in the church after he lost his job in an oil servicing company during the COVID 19 lockdown. “He thought he will quickly recoup his initial investment from the tithes and offerings he will receive and thereafter sustain himself with proceeds from the church. But unfortunately, over six months have gone and he hasn’t seen even 5% of his investment.
