I have tried to refrain from commenting on this hullaballoo about who was killed ,how many were killed and what make up a massacre?
i feel there's a disconnect from what was being reported and reality.....

majority of youths protesting at the toll gate during endsars protest are educated and deffinitly from middle/upper class homes and will therefore have relatives looking for them if indeed they were killed. we have seen how parents of kidnapped school children came forth to even form a coalition and contributes to have their wards released. The fact no parents had come forth to report the death or missing children STANDS LOGIC ON ITS HEAD.

those protesters of yesterday at the deputy governors office were hired, very obvious. we all know how grieving mothers will react...

this submission however does not absolve the government, army, and the police of inhuman acts

These mods need to do their work diligently , once any one starts making tribal remarks, place them on ban and blacklist their phone id. This is getting too much any thread that makes it to front page immediately becomes Yoruba vs Igbo tribal war. Both arguing that they are better than each other, whereas all the tribes in Nigeria are the cause of this mess that we going through... Because each ethnic group have people representing them in senate, and those representing us are the ones that share our revenue among themselves. We don't have another country, because of our diversity we shouldn't destroy this country. Let's hold our representatives that we elected in govt responsible not your Nigerian that is suffering the same fate as you.

"We Will Never Walk Alone!" - Sanwo-Olu Excited As LASU Students Pledge To Join His Peace Walk (Photos, Video)

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that he and his government will never walk alone, IgbereTV reports.

He stated this on his Instagram page in the evening hours of Thursday 2nd December 2021 after students of the Lagos State University LASU pledged to join his peace walk.

On Tuesday, November 30, the governor announced plans to stage a peace walk as part of the healing process for residents of the state after the October 20, 2020, Lekki tollgate shooting. Governor Sanwo-Olu called on entertainers and activists like Falz, Mr Macaroni, Dele Farotimi, and others to join his peace walk. Many of those he invited have turned down the invitation. Some of them on their social media pages wrote ''You will walk alone''.

Yesterday, the students of LASU declared their support for the peace walk, stating that they are ready to walk with the governor.

The same day, Governor Sanwo-Olu posted a video showing him with the excited students from the university earlier today. He captioned the video

Karma doesn't disappoint. The bloods of the victims will not rest until people like you are rewarded accordingly for supporting their killings

Bros, better don't go and join useless riots/protests so that you won't be a victim.

Forget Karma, she is not effective in Nigeria, otherwise I expect karma to have visited many of our leaders, cultists, armed robbers, Bandits ,Fulani Herdsmen and other terrorists.

Peace is the duty and responsibility of all, Justice is the responsibility of strong institutions held accountable by laws and legal frameworks

It is everyones responsibility to keep the peace.

The over 60 age bracket you all complain about form only about 5% of our population now and the ones less than 20 years over 50% of our population.

All those young persons inciting the youths to turn against the leaders should know its a very dangerous trend.Rather let us all collectively call for and maintain the peace of our land while we clamour for stronger institutions (not with protests) but withconstructive engagement.

example of the year is the group that engaged with police and got them to sign up for a missing persons data base. They did not get that by protest.
We need the youths ,we need the fresh ideas, lets find a peaceful way to make this happen. We have only one Lagos.

Its taken a lot over the years to keep the city peacefull, its our generations turn,Lets keep the peace.

I wish there was a way we clamp down on these paid bmc’s on nairaland.

The make a post about Endsars, then attack the thread with their numerous accounts.

Most times they turn it into Yoruba/Igbo thing.

If Mr Sanwo Olu feels the government is right, then what’s the need for a peace walk when there’s no war.

You can really clamp them down by getting a court injunction against them which will stipulate that they must not write anything on Nairaland.

Omode gbon, agba gbon, lafi da ile ife.
Those are the principles of the yoruba people

LASU SUG has done the right thing.

The day your people come calling for you to stand with them. You must never be found wanting.LASU SUG must also position itself as the middle ground for presenting matters as relates to youths and propose solutions in recomendations for the State.Take that mantle since they all refused it.And yes you have the locus.

Lagos must note and reward these ones. Do it silently ,note it down for a 10 year period. That is how soceities from ancient times have been buildt by the codes they uphold.

As for the ones amongst us that burnt Lagos and those that stood bye edging them on,and those that laughed and called it a joke. The ones that foolishly deride its peoples leadership and attempts at harmony and social cohesion all for cheap pop culture clout.we see you.Im sure majority of you don't even pay any tax of any sort to the state.we also have a saying for you. K'osi bi omo se l'aso to...... if you are yoruba you know the rest

The true leaders of Lagos must also note these ones and ensure that when there are priviledges and honour associated with its patronageand State status they must not partake in it. Please ensure a desk makes them file thwir tax returns regularly, this is to ensure they are contributing somehow to the assets that were burnt down.Even it takes 100 years.

Lastly ,This post is a rallying call for all yoruba sons and daughers,(the ones that are not bastards). The day that you are all called for that peace walk,if you are available and ifs convienient turn up for Lagos.

If you are not , send chin chin.Thats how we roll. Eko o ni baje o!

Students these days have lost their senses of leadership, patriotism, activism and solidarity. That is why they can't protest against injustice, bad governance, exploitation and high school fees.

All for peanuts oo. Shame on LASU. Those foolish students with this ignoble act have joined the roll call of those God would deal with for the killings at Lekki.
