It's a common fact that no matter how powerful your smartphone is, at some point it will slow down and eventually die on you, or if you don't take care of it and mishandle it all the time, it would also lead to a tragedy.

That's just the reality of life, so if you love your smartphone now, don't get too attached because it will also eventually die. So off to the question of the day "How long should a smartphone last?".

Well, it depends on most Android smartphones lifespan which is roughly 2 to 3 years while Apple's iPhone has a longer lifespan of about 4 to 5 years.

Android does not have a lifespan of 2-3' years..

The Android updates is for 2-3 years..

Unlike iPhones..

You can comfortably use your Android for years..

Without having to update anything..

From my observation, every 8 months, there are upgrades of different android versions of phones. You can ask those that deal on phones. What changes on phone is android version and specification.

please when you people are comparing phone, dont just say '"android phones"" some people are still using samsung galaxy s6, that they bought london or naija used and it's going strong. That phone is now 7 years old, you see how wrong you are abou the lifespan of android phones? (you did say ""most"" tho. but please count transsion phone out and you'll see that they last longer, even the updates can sometimes be 3 years)
it is normal for some parts to degrade over time. the battery for example... every one knows that iphones are terrible in that department.

personally tho, i prefer to change my phone once in 3 years, apple or not
