1999 CONSTITUTION OBSOLETE, SAYS NA’ABBA

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, has declared that Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution (as amended) is obsolete.

He stated that a new one was needed to accommodate emerging issues of good governance for the greater interest of all Nigerians.

NaÁbba also said Nigerians under the leadership of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), had a deep sense of distrust in the country.

Na’Abba spoke at the Maitama Sule Leadership Lecture Series at the Nasarawa State University with the theme, “Constitution, Constitutionalism and the future of Nigeria” organised by the students’ wing of the CNG,

He said, “Nigeria needs a new constitution as against the amendment of the 1999 Constitution to accommodate emerging issues of good governance for the greater interest of all Nigerians. The Federal Government also needs to do more in terms of developing and expanding the nation’s economy.”

Na'Abba is not saying the whole truth.

The 1999 Constitution is not "obsolete" - it has never been LEGITIMATE from the beginning because it is a forgery imposed on Nigerians. Indigenous people never made it.

The good thing is that Na'Abba is telling us that Constitution must end.

Hypocrites are not after changing constitution no more. They're after 2023 presidency.
