Tracereporters.com --An All Progressive Congress, APC, Chieftain in Benue State, Chief Godwin Agbo, has slammed a group by name, Zone B of the APC Youth Agenda over their recent blackening on the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, saying they are ‘bias-based.’

Agbo while reacting to a publication by Afemai Reporter, signed by one Ephraim Tartenger, who claimed to be the Chairman of Zone B of the All Progressive Congress, APC Youth Agenda, frowned at the level of falsehoods the group demoted into while debasing the person of Senator Akume.

He said the so-called Chairman of the group, Ephraim Tartenger is faceless and an unscrupulous individual who should be bold enough to background his points while castigating the Minister with facts, “I know where all these character assassinations are coming from. The aim of Tartenger, if such human exist is to castrate the political ambition of Senator Akume who recently expressed interest in the contest for the national Chairmanship of the ruling APC.”

“The Senator George Akume we all know is a patriotic Nigerian, a politician with repute and blunt elderstatesman who has contributed immensely to the development of Benue State while he was the governor of the state, he constructed the State Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, during his tenure as the governor of the State, salaries are paid as at when due, he constructed and rehabilitated several roads, other infrastructures across the state.

“The name Akume in North Central political gathering will continue to ring bell considering his eloquent parliamentarian services while in the Senate, as the Minority Leader of the 7th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“So, for a group of individual to tag such personality a ‘liability without a political value to President Muhammed Buhari is intolerable.

“President Buhari saw the potentials in Senator Akume before appointing him Minister in charge of a very sensitive Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, I challenge these unknown individuals to be objective while criticizing the person of Akume rather than hiding under the guess of a unidentifiable group to misinform and passing unbridled messages through the passage of the media.

“I can say unequivocally, that hundreds of Tartenger and his unusable group with their sponsors will fail and fail severally. Here is also to reiterate the patriotism and commitment of Senator Akume to the course of a great Nigeria and unwavering services to the administration of President Muhammed Buhari under whose government Akume plays vital roles.
