By default airpeace is at a disadvantage being that emirates is 38 years old, well funded and a legacy carrier with a base airport (DXB) offering connections to more than 100 cities. Airpeace is a startup trying to grow. Asking them to operate from two different airports will make it more difficult for them than it already is. UAE along with emirates should find a way to accommodate their request. It is wrong to say there is no slot when emirates has made a lot of money from the nigerian route over the years. It is very difficult to succeed as an african individual or company as many impediments are already in place.

On the other hand airpeace should be bold enough to run an efficient and structured organization that will see them grow sustainably. There are too many complaints over lack of corporate structure and how things are done anyhow from recruitment to reassignment of personnel to corporate governance.

yes I get you . The operating environment is harsh which probably explains why there operations isn't properly structured. But they can do better

I doubt it.......there are more than a dozen reasons why airline services appear tardy, usually manifested in cancelled or delayed flights! first reason will be lack of spares to safely service aircraft.........all spares have to be imported...I hear the customs usually delay parts due to high and unfair charges, funding and financing of operations is a big problem, for instance lack of government subsidy! it is amazing we spend billions of dollars on petroleum subsidies yet spend almost nothing in funding our airlines.........my proposal will be for the government to pay say 5000-10,000 naira per passenger carried by each airline the previous year............so if air peace carries 1 million passengers in 2021 then the government will subsidize airpeace to a tune of 10 billion naira in 2022..................the government must, however, insist that the airlines must use the money on only capital expenditure and training.
