Truth. We have been talking about capacity or the lack of it for the past seven years. When we select our leaders with less diligence than the people they lead then challenges are bound to arise. Mr. President never attended any meaningful interview or participated in any meaningful debate in the run up to the elections. If I do not submit proper credentials or attend an interview how can that establishment expect to assess my ability to perform. |

dre11: Obasanjo who used his youthful strenght as president to oppose state police when it was proposed to him. Now wiser at old age. Wished he had seen this 20 years ago, we would be farther than here in terms of development of our security architecture. 1 Like |

Honestly when one hears Obj speak, one wonders whether it is the same Obasanjo who had 11 years to be President of this country.or whether it is another one. Sometimes I think maybe it was his brother not him. |

Buhari v Atiku Hunger v plenty Blood v peace Killing v safety Illiterate v educate Intergrity Vs. Corruption. Make your choice. Do you know the meaning of integrity? Is a chronic nepotist a man of integrity? Well truthfully speaking we need to give kudos to Buhari that’s truly due to him. Look at what he did in the agricultural section with the rice revolution. In simple terms, Nigeria has the land, Nigeria also has the crop, and Nigeria has the demand, why wasn’t it encouraged to grow rice locally? The statement from people in Kebbi, etc is striking, they were previously in poverty and when Buhari introduced the rice policy they all got involved and now they are doing well economically. No foreign investors, large capital investment were involved. This political attitude of supporting policies that will only be beneficial to the friends of government while the general economy is badly affected, this has to stop! We choose to import rice from Thailand’s and Brazil because it is enriching the importers while Nigerians are denied the opportunity to benefit from farming. So what happens to the rice revolution when Buhari leaves? Is it going to end with the government? I think we need a new body called “Nigerian Economic Security Council” which will represent Nigerian local production, manufacturing and farming sector. This council should have representatives from all these sectors, they should meet regularly and then raise alarm when they see that new government policies are affecting any of their sector. We need to grow our IGR, bring in foreign exchange, and remove people from poverty. The problem Nigeria has had is that one man wants to grab it all for himself with the excuse of capitalism at the expense of everyone. |

redcliff: Best indeed! In your dreams. Well the best can also be a failure. If a teacher gives a maths test and the highest score is 18 percent, then that's the best. Old man Obasanjo was equally a monumental failure to this country. A disaster! Like Jonathan and Buhari. Make no mistake we have never had a President. Obj should go sit his old hairy backside somewhere and shut his trap and stop feeling like the man. He played his part in destroying this country. 1 Like |

Best President of Nigeria so far @ObJ. Actually , I don’t think Buhari has any plan to rule Nigeria . He was only interested in becoming the President. I do revisit his election promises once in a while , and I know if it’s a country that works , he would have either resigned or impeached . And to our reverend scholar , I can only laugh . I heard he was a former retired soldier . So kidnapping is now a business ? Each time , he says government should dialogue with Fulani bandits cum terrorist on what ground ? That the government should grant them amnesty lol ? I quote him Gumi , “We all know that bandits initially don’t kill people. They only kidnap people to get money, but something has metamorphosed and turned them into a Frankenstein monster that kill people just for the pleasure of it.” So he is walking free delivering speech ? I will definitely survive this agenda. |
