In a recent statement made through his verified social media handle, popular Nigerian human rights activist, Adeyanju Deji, has bemoaned the level of killings that is going on in the Northern region of Nigeria.

According to him, the killings are too much as northerners are being killed every day by terrorists. He noted that if such was happening in the Southern region, the whole country won't be silent.

In his words, he said thus:

"If the killings going on was in the South, the whole country won’t be silent like this. Northern lives matter too. This injustice is not fair. Northerners are killed by terrorists every day in this country & we are all acting like all is well"

Of a truth, the killings of innocent people perpetrated by bandits and other terrorist groups in the northern region of Nigeria demands the collective outcry, concern, and efforts of the other regions of the country, to fight it.

It will be unfair to keep mum because such killings are not happening in one's region. Remember that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

The hunter is being hunted, when the northern where killing southerns in the name of religious crisis their elites were silent and supporting them. They burnt churches, businesses and properties belonging to southern. Those bloods are crying out loud. The thirst for blood is what is affecting them.

The blood of baboons and dogs are simply mixing on the street of the north.

Before I go further i must make it clear that my condolences go to the families that lost their loved ones. I hate anything that involves the taking of lives

Now it must also be made clear that the desperation of the north to keep power to themselves caused all these. How do you blame anybody when even after forcing themselves on Nigeria His excellency president buhari went ahead and to appoint only his people as security chiefs, forget the irabo man who came of recent to give the whole rubbish a semblance of....
what's that word again?

Deji try to make sense, are there no human beings in the North to fight their causes?

Are we the ones making them to be religious bigots, instead to chase away the enemy, they accept jihadists and extremists to dwell among them, what does he want South to do...South is doing enough accepting all the Almajiris coming into Lagos to constitute nuisance, and all the beggars littering our roads from the North, Deji try dey make sense. Anyone that wants to destroy themselves cos of irrationality will see the results, let them continue the bigotry...

This one go just sleep wake dey talk nonsense. Abi everyone is going to true federalism, then everyone will be on their own. I wonder why bloggers make these mediocre activist famous.

If you want to show support they will immediately turn it into religious matter between South and North. Take Endsars protest for example.

To each his own.

I don't see Aboki crying for the people IPOB are terrorising. In fact, I don't even see Aboki crying for the people Boko Haram are terrorising, you shouldn't be crying more than the bereaved.

If Southerners start to protest against the killings it's the same dumb assed northerners that'll say "every protest against terrorists is a protest against the north". So, leave them. Maybe this is the miracle needed for northerners to acquire brains and start reasoning.

Stupid talk. Wake me up and tell me when Southern (Igbo, Yoruba, Bini, etc) gangs start kidnapping, raping and killing northerners right there in the North.

The greatest insecurity in the South today is orchestrated by the same Fulani animals terrorising the North. The mass kidnappings on major highways across the South are carried out by these northern bastards. So what is Deji talking about?

The problem of Nigeria is the North... Politically, economically and since Buhari become president... criminally. Let them evacuate the Fulani bastards causing havoc on southern highways and Southern farms back to the north, to add to the already sizable number of their colleagues in the North disturbing themselves there. It shouldn't concern us.

After all, IPOB has not disturbed anybody in the North (or even in the South West or South South). Let's not try to make stupid excuses to ignore the obvious elephant in the room.
